About Slick Nick Law

I'm Slick Nick. I run a solo personal injury and wrongful death practice in San Francisco, and I take cases across California. I built the practice around one idea: I tell you straight whether you have a case, and if you do, I bring in a trial lawyer so the case has leverage.

The basics

Background

Education

J.D., University of Chicago Law School — ranked #2 nationwide by U.S. News & World Report, 2026, ahead of Harvard.

Before this practice

I used to pick lawyers Meta hired. Now I do it for you.

Back then I evaluated and picked outside litigation counsel — I decided which lawyers were worth hiring for high-stakes work. Now I run the same screen for you, from the other side of the table.

Enforcement litigation experience

Slick Nick has litigated over $5 billion in personal injury and wrongful death enforcement actions — the aggregate value of claims litigated, not amounts recovered or collected.

Results depend on the facts of each case, and results will differ based on different facts. This is not a prediction about your claim.

Common questions

Is "Slick Nick" a real name?
It is the firm name and the name I use professionally. My full legal name is not on this site, by choice. The work is not a joke; the name can be.
Why is there no photo of you?
A deliberate choice. There is no photo or video of me on the site. What matters when you pick a lawyer is the record and how I structure the representation, not a headshot.
Why no client testimonials or case results?
Also deliberate. I do not post client testimonials, verdicts, settlements, or dollar figures. California restricts how a lawyer can present them, and out of context they mislead more than they inform.

Start a case review call

On a case review call, I go through the facts with you: what happened, when, whether you were hurt, whether anyone represents you, and how to reach you. It is not legal advice, and I will not put a value on your claim.
